Legislative history

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Domestic Violence Regulations 2006.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Revocation

The Domestic Violence Regulations 1994 are revoked.

4—Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

Act means the Domestic Violence Act 1994.

5—Foreign domestic violence restraining orders

For the purposes of the definition of foreign domestic violence restraining order in section 3 of the Act, the following laws are declared to be laws corresponding to the Act:

The Domestic Violence Regulations 2006 were revoked by Sch 1 of the Intervention Orders (Prevention of Abuse) Regulations 2011 on 9.12.2011.
