Domestic Meat Premises Charge Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Domestic Meat Premises Charge Act 1993.

1.   Commencement

1.1   Regulations 3 and 4 are taken to have commenced on 1 January 1994.

[NOTE: The remainder of these Regulations commences on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Domestic Meat Premises Charge Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule 2

3.1   Column 3 of item 3:

Omit “$2,480”, substitute “$1,240”.

3.2   Column 3 of item 4:

Omit “$2,650”, substitute “$1,325”.

3.3   Items 5 and 6:

Omit the items, substitute:

“5	Abattoir that receives inspection services in the financial year, if the number of inspection hours in the previous financial year is 1,000 or fewer	$1,325
6	Abattoir that receives inspection services in the financial year, if the number of inspection hours in the previous financial year is more than 1,000 and not greater than 5,000	$6,190
6A	Abattoir that receives inspection services in the financial year, if the number of inspection hours in the previous financial year is greater than 5,000	$22,284”.

4.   Schedule 3

4.1   Column 3 of item 3:

Omit “$1,240”, substitute “$620”.

4.2   Column 3 of item 4:

Omit “$1,325”, substitute “$663”.

4.3   Items 5 and 6:

Omit the items, substitute:

“5	Abattoir that receives inspection services in the financial year, if the number of inspection hours in the previous financial year is 1,000 or fewer	$663
6	Abattoir that receives inspection services in the financial year, if the number of inspection hours in the previous financial year is more than 1,000 and not greater than 5,000	$3,095
