Domestic and Family Violence Protection and Other Legislation Amendment (Postponement) Regulation 2017 (Qld)

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Domestic and Family Violence Protection and Other Legislation Amendment (Postponement) Regulation 2017.

2   Postponed commencement of uncommenced provisions

(1)The period before automatic commencement, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 15DA(2), of the postponed law is extended to the end of 20 October 2018.

(2)In this section—

postponed law means an uncommenced provision of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2016 stated in schedule 1.

3   Expiry

This regulation expires on 22 October 2018.

The postponed laws mentioned in items 1 to 4 now automatically commence on 21 October 2018.
