1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Dog Fence Regulations 1997.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

the Act means the Dog Fence Act 1946.

4—Prescribed rate

The amount per kilometre for the purposes of the definition of prescribed rate in section 28(9) of the Act is $5.50.
