AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Districts Ordinance 1966-1967.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Aus­ tralia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government

(Administration) Act 1910-1973.

DISTRICTS ORDINANCE 1976

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Districts Ordinance

1976.*

(2 ) The Districts Ordinance 1966-1967f is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3 ) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Districts Ordinance 1966-1976.

2.   Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) the words "Canberra City, Woden" and substituting the words " Canberra Central, Woden Valley, Belconnen, Jerrabomberra, Majura, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek "; and

(b) by omitting from sub-section (1) the word " Lanyon,".

3. Section 6 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-sections:—

" (7) The name given by the Minister under this section to a division shall be the name determined by the Minister under sub-section 7 (2) of the National Memorials Ordinance 1928-1972 in respect of that division.

" (8) Where the Minister alters the name of a division under this section, the name, as so altered, of the division shall be the name determined by the Minister under sub-section 7 (2) of the National Memorials Ordinance 1928-1972 in respect of that division.".

4. Section 7 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from sub-section (7) the word "approved" and substituting the word " proved ".

5. The Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the

following Schedule substituted:—

HALL DISTRICT

All that part of the Australian Capital Territory commencing at the intersection of the boundary of the Territory with the middle thread of the Barton Highway; and bounded thence on the northeast by the middle thread of the Barton Highway southeasterly to its intersection with a northwesterly prolongation of a southwestern boundary of Block 8 of Deposited Plan 702; thence on the northeast by that prolongation and that boundary of that Block 8 southeasterly to a northwestern boundary of Block 11 of Deposited Plan 113; thence on the southeast, southwest and southeast by northwestern, southwestern and northwestern boundaries of that Block 11 southwesterly, southeasterly and southwesterly together with the southwesterly prolongation of the last of the abovementioned	boundaries to the intersection with the middle thread of the Barton	Highway; thence on the southwest by the middle thread of the Barton High­
