s1 2 s6 District Court Amendment (No. 1) No. 428, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the District Court Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on the commencement of the Justice andOther Legislation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1997 . ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the District Courts Regulation 1993 . ˙ Amendment of s 1 (Short title) 4. Section 1, ‘ Courts ’— omit, insert— ‘ Court ’. ˙ Replacement of s 2 (Appeals venues appointed) 5. Section 2— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Places where court is to be held and declaration of districts ‘ 2.(1) The District Court is to be held at the places mentioned in schedule 4, column 1. ‘ (2) The district for the District Court at a place mentioned in schedule 4, column 1, consists of the district, districts or division of a district for Magistrates Courts mentioned in schedule 4, column 2 set out opposite the place.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 5 6. After section 4— insert—

s7 3 s7 District Court Amendment (No. 1) No. 428, 1997 ˙ ‘ Repeal of proclamations about districts ‘ 5.(1) The proclamations mentioned in schedule 5 are repealed. ‘ (2) This section and schedule 5 expire on the day after this regulation commences.’. ˙ Insertion of new schs 4 and 5 7.
