DISTRICT COURT ACT 1973—RULE

NEW SOUTH WALES

1. This rule is made by the Rule Committee on 27 November 1990,

and has effect on and from 11 January 1991.

2. The District Court Rules 1973 are amended by inserting in Part 51A rule 2 (4) after the word “Sydney,” where occurring the word

“Newcastle,”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of the amendment is to enable actions for damages for personal injuries in the District Court at Newcastle to be referred to arbitration regardless of the amount claimed.
