advice and consent of t he Legislat ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the au thor i ty of t he same as follows :—

1. This A c t m a y be cited as t he " Diseases in Sheep A c t A m e n d m e n t A c t of 1876 "	a n d shall be	read	as forming pa r t	of	t h e
" Sheep Ac t of 1866."

2. No twi ths t and ing a n y t h i n g conta ined in t h e " Sheep Ac t of

1866 " t h e Governor in Council may from t ime to t ime by proc lamat ion i n the Gazette suspend for any period no t exceeding six mon ths such of t h e provisions of t h e said A c t re la t ing to t h e in t roduct ion of impor ted sheep from ne ighbour ing Colonies as will admi t of fat sheep arr iving b y sea from any Colony in which disease is no t k n o w n no r suspected to exist be ing t aken direct by water to t he Abat to i rs on Glebe I s l and in P o r t J ackson for s laughter unde r such regula t ions as m a y be set for th in the said proclamat ion .
