[ASSENTED TO IITH OCTOBER, 1934.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as followS':- Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as "The D-iseascs in Plants Acts Amendment Act of 1934," and shall be read as one with *" The Diseases in Plants Acts, 1929 to 1930," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may collectively be cited as " The Diseases in Plants Acts, 1929 to 1934." Aofmse. n 4 d . ment. 2. Section four of the Principal Act is amended by deleting therefrom the definition of the word " Occupier" and by inserting in lieu thereof the following definition :- Occupier. " " Occupier"-The person in occupation of any land, premises, nursery, orchard, or place: or where any orchard or nursery forms part of any land then the person in occupation of such land as is comprised in such orchard or nursery, as the case may be. If reasonable enquiry by an inspector establishes that at the time of the commis- sion of the alleged offence or other the material time within the meaning of this Act there was no occupier of land, premises, nursery, orchard, or place, or if an inspector cannot after reasonable enquiry find the person who is such occupier, then the owner shall be deemed to be the occupier." * 20 Geo.
