The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Discrimination Act 1991.

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on 31 December 1996.

Principal Regulations

2.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Discrimination (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations.

Substitution

3.  Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Remuneration of the Commissioner

“3.  For the purposes of subsection 113 (1) of the Act, the prescribed remuneration is—

(a)remuneration at a rate payable to a public servant having a classification of Executive (Level 1.1); and

(b)the benefits to which such a public servant is entitled;

in accordance with Determination No. 1 of the Remuneration Tribunal, entitled ‘Executives of the ACT Public Service’ and dated 2 August 1996, as in force on 31 December 1996.”.

Travelling allowance

4.  Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) “Senior Executive Service Officer” and substituting “Executive”.
