Discrimination (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations
The Australian Capital Territory Executive hereby makes the following Regulations under the Discrimination Act 1991.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Discrimination (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations.
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—
“the Act” means the Discrimination Act 1991.
Remuneration of Commissioner
3. (1) The Commissioner shall be paid remuneration of $366.00 for each day on which he or she is engaged in holding public hearings for not less than 3 hours.
(2) When the Commissioner is engaged in holding public hearings for less than 3 hours on a day, he or she shall be paid remuneration in respect of that day calculated at the rate of $122.00 per hour for the time during which he or she is so engaged.
Allowance of Commissioner
4. The Commissioner shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $5,000 per year.
Travelling allowance of Commissioner
5. (1) Subject to subregulation (2), where the Commissioner is, in the performance of his or her functions under the Act, necessarily absent from the Territory, he or she shall be paid travelling allowance in respect of that absence—
(a)where the Commissioner performs his or her functions in the capital city of a State or the Northern Territory—at the rate of $300.00 per day; or
(b)in any other case - at the rate of $155.00 per day.
(2) Travelling allowance payable under this regulation is in addition to, and does not include, the cost of conveyance.
