Disability Services (Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service) Regulations

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Disability Services Act 1986.

Citation

 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disability Services (Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service) Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

Interpretation

 2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

“the Act” means the Disability Services Act 1986.

Prescription of law for the purposes of the definition of “compensation” under subsection 23 (1) of the Act

 3. For the purposes of the definition of “compensation” in subsection 23 (1) of the Act, the following Acts are prescribed in relation to criminal injuries compensation payments:

  • (a)

    the Victims Compensation Act 1987 of New South Wales;

  • (b)

    the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1983 of Victoria;

  • (c)

    Chapter LXVA of the Criminal Code (Queensland);

  • (d)

    the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1978 of South Australia;

  • (e)

    the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1985 of Western Australia;

  • (f)

    the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1976 of Tasmania;

  • (g)

    the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1983 of the Australian Capital Territory;

  • (h)

    the Crimes (Victims Assistance) Act 1992 of the Northern Territory.
