Disability Services Amendment Regulations

(No. 2) 2016

3.	Regulations amended These regulations amend the Disability Services
Regulations 2004.

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Disability Services Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2016.
2.	Commencement These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

4.            Regulation 11 amended

In regulation 11 insert in alphabetical order:

Ranges area means the area constituted as at
1 October 2016 by the local government districts of
Armadale, Murray and Serpentine-Jarrahdale;

5.            Regulation 12 amended

(1)	In regulation 12(1) delete "area and the Cockburn-Kwinana" and insert:
area, the Cock burn-Kwinana area and the Ranges
(2)	In regulation 12(2) and (3) delete "2016." and insert:
2017.
(3)	After regulation 12(3) insert:
(4) For the purposes of section 26G(3) of the Act, the trial period for the Ranges area begins on 1 October 2016 and ends on 30 June 2017.

6.            Regulation 14 amended

In regulation 14 delete "2013" and insert:

7.           Regulation 16 amended

(1) In regulation 16(1):

(a) in paragraph (b) delete "area." and insert:

area; or

(b)	after paragraph (b) insert:
(c) on 1 October 2016 the person resides in the Ranges area.

(2) In regulation 16(2)(a):

(a) delete "either -" and insert:

at least one of the following applies -

(b)	after subparagraph (i) delete "or";
(c)	after subparagraph (ii) insert:

(iii) the person starts to reside in the Ranges

area at any time after 1 October 2016;

(3) In regulation 16(3):

(a) after paragraph (b) insert:

(ba) the child is born after 1 October 2016, and at

least one of the child's birth parents who cares for that child resides in the Ranges area on the day the child is born; or

(b) after paragraph (d) insert:

(da) at a time after 1 October 2016, the child comes

to be in the care of a person who has ongoing
parental responsibility for that child and who
has resided in the Ranges area since
1 October 2016, and this will be the child's

place of residence; or

(c)	in paragraph (e)(ii)(I) after "2015," insert:
or in the Ranges area after 1 October 2016,

8.            Regulation 19 amended

In regulation 19(1) delete "24(b)." and insert:

24( 1)(b).

9. Regulation 20 amended
In regulation 20(1) delete "24(c)." and insert:

24(1)(c).

10.          Regulation 21 amended

In regulation 21(1) delete "disability" and insert:

early intervention

11. Regulation 22 amended
In regulation 22(1) delete "disability" and insert:

early intervention
