E~ : ~ : : 3~ by and with the advice and consent of the Legis· lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. This Act may be cited as "The Dingo and Mar- Short title supial Destruction Act Amendment Act of 1923," and shall and . be read as one with *" The Dingo and Marsupial Destruc- ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ctlOn tion Act of 1918," herein referred to as the Principal Act. This Act and the Principal Act may together be cited as "The Dingo and Marsupial Destruction Acts, 1918 to 1923." 2. (1.) Section eighteen of the Principal Act is repealed, and the following section is inserted in lieu thereof :- . "[18.] The rates of bonus payable in respect of scalps Rates of of dingoes and marsupials shall be such as are fixed from bonus. time to time by regulations under this Act. The rate fixed for the scalp of a fox need not be the same as the rate fixed for the scalp of any other dingo. The payment by the Board of a bonus in the case of scalps of marsupials shall be optional, but in the case of scalps of dingoes shall be compulsory." (2.) The rates of bonus fixed by any Board under section eighteen of the Principal Act and in force at the pasging of this Act shall cease to be in force upon the making of regulations under section eighteen of the Principal Act as enacted by this Act.
