DGS (Storage and Handling of Non-explosives)

Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2012

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the DGS (Storage and Handling of
Non-explosives) Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2012.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Dangerous Goods Safety (Storage
and Handling of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007.

4.             Regulation 4 amended

(1) In regulation 4 delete the definition of FESA.
(2) In regulation 4 insert in alphabetical order:

FES Commissioner has the meaning given in the Fire

and Emergency Services Act 1998 section 3;

FES Department means the department of the Public
Service principally assisting the Minister in the
administration of the Fire and Emergency Services
Act 1998;

5.             Regulation 73 amended

In regulation 73(2)(b)(iv):

(a) delete “FESA —” and insert:

the FES Commissioner —

(b) delete “officers of FESA.” and insert:
by any fire brigade under the control of the FES
Commissioner.
