Part 1—Preliminary
1—Short title
These regulations may be cited as the Development (Adoption of Codes and Standards) Variation Regulations 2009.
2—Commencement
These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.
3—Variation provisions
In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.
Part 2—Variation of Development Regulations 2008
4—Variation of regulation 106—Adoption of codes and standards
Regulation 106(1)—delete subregulation (1) and substitute:
(1)For the purposes of section 23(5) of the Act, the following bodies are prescribed:
(a)the Minister;
(b)Standards Australia.
Regulation 106(2)(e)—delete paragraph (e) and substitute:
(e)Standards Australia;
5—Revocation of regulation 106A
Regulation 106A—delete the regulation
Note—
As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
