DETERMINATION OF PATIENT CONTRIBUTION
UNDER SUB-SECTION 3(1)

I, LINDA JANE ADDISON, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing, in pursuance of the powers under paragraph (d) of the definition of 'patient contribution' in sub-section 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (the Act):
REVOKE all previous determinations made under paragraph (d) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act in respect of private hospitals in all States and Territories within Australia.
DETERMINE for the purposes of paragraph (d) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act, that the amount of patient contribution shall, on and from 20 March 2006 be $36.40 per day in respect of private hospitals in all States and Territories within Australia.
