DETERMINATION OF PATIENT CONTRIBUTION

UNDER SUB-SECTION 3(1)

(HIB 09/2006)

I, LINDA JANE ADDISON, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing, in pursuance of the powers under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (the Act):

(1) REVOKE all previous determinations made under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act in respect of recognized hospitals in South Australia.

(2) DETERMINE for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in sub-section 3(1) of the Act, that the amount of patient contribution shall, on and from 20 March 2006 be $36.40 per day in respect of recognized hospitals in South Australia.
