DETERMINATION No. TR01

DETERMINATION IN RELATION TO THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN SCALEFISH AND SHARK FISHERY AND THE CORAL SEA FISHERY.

I, Nick Rayns, Executive Manager Fisheries, acting as a delegate of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, make the following determination under subsection 42 (1) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

Citation

1.This determination may be cited as the TR01 Determination 2005.

Commencement

2.This determination commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

Interpretation

3.In this determination:

“Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery” means all commercial fishing under a concession for the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery in the sectors defined in Schedule 1 Part 2 (1) of the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003.

“Coral Sea Fishery” means all commercial fishing under a concession for the Coral Sea Fishery in the sector defined in Part 2 of Schedule 1A of the Fisheries Management Regulations 1992.

[Note: Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this determination.]

Determination

4.That TR01 (at Attachment A) be the form and content of logbook required for holders of relevant fishing concessions in the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery and Coral Sea Fishery.

5.That relevant concession holders in the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery and Coral Sea Fishery must keep and maintain the Commonwealth Trap Daily Fishing Log (TR01).
