COMMONWEALTH GILLNET FISHING DAILY FISHING LOG

I, Geoff Richardson, Acting Executive Manager Fisheries, acting as a delegate of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, make the following determination under subsection 42(1) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

Citation

1.This Determination may be cited as Determination No. NT01A.

Commencement

2.This Determination commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

Interpretation

3.In this Determination:

“Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery” means all commercial fishing under a concession for the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery in the sectors defined in Schedule 1 Part 2 (1) and (2) of the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003.

[Note: Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this Determination.]

Determination

4.Subject to paragraph 5, the logbook known as NT01A (at Attachment A) is the form and content of the logbook to be kept and maintained by holders of gillnet fishing concessions in the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery in accordance with the conditions of their fishing concession and s42 Fisheries Management Act 1991.

5.         Gillnet fishing concession holders may continue to use the logbook known as NT01 until all stocks of NT01 are depleted.
