DESTITUTE CHILDREN'S SOCIETY (VESTING)

AMENDMENT ACT.

Act No. 6, 1957.

An Act to make further provision in relation to homes established under the Destitute Children's Society (Vesting) Act, 1916; for this purpose to amend the said Act; to validate certain matters; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 29th March, 1957.]

Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1 . (1) This Act may be cited as the "Destitute Children's Societv (Vesting) Amendment Act, 1957.''

(2) The Destitute Children's Society (Vesting)
Act, 1916, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the
Destitute Children's Society (Vesting) Act, 191G-1957.

2 . The Destitute Children's Society (Vesting) Act, 191(>, is amended by omitting paragraph (b) of section three and by inserting in lieu thereof the following paragraph:—

(b) the establishing and maintenance of cottage homes for defective children and the care, control and maintenance of such children in such homes under the direction and management of the Minister.

3 . Any application by the Public Trustee, before the commencement of this Act, of moneys or securities for money vested in him under section three of the Destitute Children's Society (Vesting) Act, 1910, for any purposes relating to or connected with cottage homes for defective children established pursuant to the said section or the care, control and maintenance of such children in such homes, which but for this section would have been invalid, is hereby validated.
