AN ACT to authorise the Construction of a Tramway from the Head of Derby Jetty to Derby Townsite.

[Assented to, 2oth December, 1902.]

-DE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with lative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament1) the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legis-

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

THIS Act may be cited as the Derby Tramway Act, 1902.

Short title.

2.

IT shall be lawful to construct and maintain a tramway from the head of Derby Jetty to the Townsite of Derby, with all necessary, stri

ttileite.rity to eon-

proper, and usual works and conveniences in connection therewith,

in the line described in the Schedule to this Act.

3.     IT shall be lawful for the Commissioner of Railways to Beviatia

deviate from the line as described in the Schedule, to the extent of

half-a-mile on either side thereof.

In the name and on behalf of the King I hereby assent

to this Act.

THE SCHEDULE.

DERBY TRAMWAY.

DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF TRAMWAY.

Commencing at a point at the Head of Derby Jetty in King Sound, 573 feet from commencement of Jetty, and proceeding in a generally South-Westerly direction for 11- chains ; thence in a generally South-Easterly direction for about 2 miles 43 chains ; thence in a generally Easterly direction for about 20 chains, terminating at a point in Derby Townsite, in Loch Street, between Gladstone and Broome Streets, as more particularly delineated by a red line on Map marked P.W.D., WA., 8852, deposited as provided for by 5.5° Victorim, No. 34, Section 10.

Total length, 2 miles 64 chains 50 links.
