This regulation may be cited as the Department of Transport (Variation of Fees) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1995 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1995. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Department of Transport (Variation ofFees) Regulation 1995 . ˙ Amendment of sch 2 (Amendment of the Marine Safety (Private Pleasure Vessels) Regulation 1984) 4. Schedule 2, item 1— omit, insert— ‘ 1. Section 8(2) and (3)— omit, insert — ‘ (2) A person who receives a totally and permanently incapacitated war pension is entitled to a full rebate of the registration fee and speedboat driving fee for 1 vessel. ‘ (3) A person who receives a full— (a) disability support pension; or (b) age pension; or (c) widow’s pension; or (d) wife’s pension; or (e) blind pension; or (f) sole parent’s benefit; or (g) service or general rate disability pension;

s4 3 s4 Department of Transport (Variation of Fees) No. 220, 1995 Amendment (No. 1) is entitled to a rebate of 50% of the registration fee, and speedboat driving fee, for 1 vessel. ‘ (4) A person who holds a current seniors card is entitled to the following rebate of the registration fee for 1 vessel— (a) for a vessel with a length not over 4.5 m—$19.20; or (b) for a vessel with a length over 4.5 m—$32.85.’. ‘ 2. Schedule 10, item 3— omit, insert— ‘ 3. Part 4, section 4— omit, insert— ‘ 4.(1) The annual registration fee for a drive-yourself motor boat is— (a) for a boat with a length not over 4.5 m—$38.40 plus $6.80 for each metre, or part of a metre; or (b) for a boat with a length over 4.5 m but not over 10 m—$65.70 plus $6.80 for each metre, or part of a metre; or (c) for a boat with a length over 10 m but not over 35 m—$133.60 plus $11.30 for each metre, or part of a metre, over 10 m; or (d) for a boat with a length over 35 m—$416.10. ‘ (2) The annual survey fee for a drive-yourself motor boat is— (a) for a boat with a length not over 6 m—$37.30; or (b) for a boat with a length over 6 m but not over 10 m—$62.50; or (c) for a boat with a length over 10 m but not over 15 m—$93.10; or (d) for a boat with a length over 15 m but not over 20 m—$123.80; or (e) for a boat with a length over 20 m but not over 25 m—$186.30; or (f) for a boat with a length over 25 m but not over 35 m—$217.00; or (g) for a boat with a length over 35 m—$248.90. ‘ (3) A person who receives a totally and permanently incapacitated war pension is entitled to a full rebate of the registration fee for 1 boat. ‘ (4) A person who receives a full— (a) disability support pension; or

s6 5 s6 Department of Transport (Variation of Fees) No. 220, 1995 Amendment (No. 1) (b) age pension; or (c) widow’s pension; or (d) wife’s pension; or (e) blind pension; or (f) sole parent’s benefit; or (g) service or general rate disability pension; is entitled to a rebate of 50% of the registration fee for 1 boat. ‘ (5) A person who holds a current seniors card is entitled to the following rebate of the registration fee for 1 vessel— (a) for a boat with a length not over 4.5 m—$19.20; or (b) for a boat with a length over 4.5 m—$32.85. ‘ (6) The Minister may waive the whole, or any part, of the boating facilities fee payable for a boat if satisfied that the boat forms part of a fleet of boats that— (a) are located at, and operating from, a set location; and (b) are required to be registered under part 3 or 4 of the regulation; and (c) do not use any public boating facilities. ‘ (7) In this section— “length” , of a boat, means the distance in metres measured in the fore and aft line from the fore part of the hull to the after part of the hull, taken at the upper side of the uppermost weathertight deck, or in the case of an open boat, at the height of the gunwale.’.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 11 (Amendment of the Queensland Marine (Registration, Survey, Equipment and Load Line) Regulation 1987) 6. Section 5— insert — ‘ “length” , of a vessel, means the distance in metres measured in the fore and aft line from the fore part of the hull to the after part of the hull, taken at the upper side of the uppermost weathertight deck, or in the case of an open vessel, at the height of the gunwale.’. ‘ 2. Section 11(2)— renumber as section 11(5). ‘ 3.
