1030 Department of Employment and Labour Relations Annual Reporting Act 1982, No. 74 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Department of Employment and Labour Relations Annual Reporting Act 1982. 2. Interpretation . In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears- " Department " means the Department of Employment and Labour Relations by whatever name, at the material time, known; " Minister " means the Minister of the Crown who at the material time is responsible for the operations of the Department and includes a Minister of the Crown who is temporarily performing the duties of the Minister. 3. Annual report on operations of Department of Employment and Labour Relations . (1) (a) The permanent head of the Department shall as soon as practicable after 30 June in each year prepare and furnish to the Minister a report on the operations of the department under the direction of the permanent head (other than the operations of the Department under the Workers' Compensation Act 1916-1982) during the period of 12 months ended on 30 June last past. (b) Without limiting the operation of paragraph (a), the report shall include information on- (i) the operation of- (A) the Construction Safety Act1971-1975; (B) the Inspection of Machinery Act 1951-1979; (C) the Motor Vehicles Safety Act1980; (D) the Pastoral Workers' Accommodation Act1980; (ii) the activities of- (A) the Consumer Affairs Bureau established; (B) the Consumer Affairs Council constituted, under the Consumer Affairs Act1970-1982; (iii) the proceedings and operations of The Anzac Day Trust constituted under the Anzac Day Act1921-1981; (iv) the administration of the Factories and Shops Act 1960-1982; (v) the operations of the Industry and Commerce Training Commission constituted under the Industry and CommerceTraining Act1979-1982; (vi) the operations or activities upon which the furnishing of a report is required under any prescribed Act.
Department of Emplownent and Labour Relations Annual Reporting Act 1982, No. 74 1031 (c) In provision (vi) of subsection (b), a prescribed Act is an Act which for the time being- (i) is administered by the Department: and (ii) is prescribed by Order in Council. (2) The Minister shall lay the report of the permanent head of the Department before the Legislative Assembly within 14 sitting days from the day on which he receives the report. 4. Annual report sufficient compliance with Acts. Upon furnishing the Minister with a report pursuant to section 3, the permanent head of the Department shall immediately notify each person required to furnish a report to the Minister, under the Acts specified in paragraph (b) of section 3 (I) that a report has been furnished. Upon receipt by a person of that notification, the provision of an Act specified in or prescribed pursuant to paragraph (b) of section 3 (1) requiring the person to furnish a report to the Minister shall not apply in respect of the year the subject of the report by the permanent head of the Department.
