Department of Agriculture Act 1907 (NSW)

An A c t to c r e a t e t h e office of Min i s t e r for

A g r i c u l t u r e ;	to	e s t ab l i sh	a	D e p a r t m e n t	of
A g r i c u l t u r e ;	and	for	o t h e r	p u r p o s e s .	[26th

November, 1907.]

E it enacted by the K i n g ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty, by and with

B the advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council and Legislat ive

Assembly of N e w South	Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and	by the
a u t h o r i t y	of	t he same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the " D e p a r t m e n t of Agr i cu l t u r e

Act , 1907 . "

2. The Governor may, by proclamation in t he Gazet te , create
t he office of Min i s te r of Agr icu l tu re . The said office shall be an office

of profit unde r the Crown, created by Act of Par l iament as an office of

t he Execu t i ve Government .

3. The Minis ter of Agr i cu l tu r e shall be a responsible Minis ter

of the Crown, hav ing management and control of the Depar tment of

A g r i c u l t u r e , which the Governor is hereby empowered to es tabl ish .
