s1 2 s5 Dental Practitioners Registration Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 No. 157, 2006 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Dental Practitioners Registration Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 July 2006. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Dental Practitioners RegistrationRegulation 2001. 4 Insertion of new s 8C After section 8B— insert— ‘8C Additional functions of dental auxiliaries—Act, s 139A(2)(d)(ii) ‘(1) For section 139A(2)(d)(ii) of the Act, the additional function stated in schedule 2B, part 1, column 1 is prescribed for a dental therapist, if the dental therapist holds the qualification stated in column 2 opposite the additional function and conferred or awarded by the educational institution stated for the qualification. ‘(2) For section 139A(2)(d)(ii) of the Act, an additional function stated in schedule 2B, part 2, column 1 is prescribed for a dental hygienist, if the dental hygienist holds the qualification stated in column 2 opposite the additional function and conferred or awarded by the educational institution stated for the qualification.’. 5 Insertion of new sch 2B After schedule 2A— insert —
