Dental Amendment Regulations 2000

The Dental Board of Tasmaia, with the approval of the Governor, makes the following regulations under section 8 of the Dental Act 1982 .

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Dental Amendment Regulations 2000 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Dental Regulations 1983 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting "weekly." from the definition of "daily newspaper" and substituting "weekly;"; (b) by inserting the following definition after the definition of "daily newspaper": GST has the same meaning as in the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 of the Commonwealth. 5Schedule 3 amended (Fees)Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting "100.00" from item 1 and substituting "200.00"; (b) by omitting "100.00" from item 4 and substituting "200.00"; (c) by adding at the end of the Schedule the following note:

Note: The fees specified in this Schedule are not subject to the GST.

These regulations were made by the Dental Board of Tasmania at a meeting held on 11 August 2000.
