Defence (Visiting Forces) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Defence (Visiting Forces) Act 1963.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Defence (Visiting Forces) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 4:

2.1   Before “Canada”, insert in the list of countries:

“Brunei Darussalam;”.

2.2   Omit “Fiji;”.

3.   Regulation 5:

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Declaration of other countries under section 6 of the Act

 “5.The following countries are declared under section 6 of the Act to be countries in relation to which all the provisions of the Act have effect:

• (a)

  the Kingdom of Cambodia;

• (b)

  the Republic of Fiji;

• (c)

  the Republic of Indonesia;

• (d)

  the Republic of the Philippines;

• (e)

  the Kingdom of Thailand;

• (f)

  the United States of America.”.
