1 Name
This instrument is Defence (Prohibited Substances) Determination 2021.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on the day after registration.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under subsection 93B(1) of the Defence Act 1903.
4 Schedules
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
5 Definitions
In this instrument:
World Anti-Doping Code International Standard Prohibited List 2021 means the document of that name published by the World Anti-Doping Agency, as in force under the World Anti-Doping Code on 1 January 2021.
Act means the Defence Act 1903.
Poisons Standard mean the Poisons Standard June 2021, as in force on
1 June 2021.
World Anti-Doping Code has the same meaning as in the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Act 2006.
6 Prohibited substances
The following substances are prohibited substances for the purpose of Part VIIIA of the Act:
(a) a substance in class S0, S1, S2, S4, S6, S7, S8 or S9 of the World Anti-Doping Code International Standard Prohibited List 2021;
(b) a substance listed in Schedule 4, 8 or 9 of the 2021 Poisons Standard;
(c) Alkylamines with stimulant properties;
(d) Allylisopropylacetylurea;
(e) 1,3-Dimethylamylamine (DMAA);
(f) 1,5-Dimethylhexylamine (DMHA);
(g) 1,4-Dimethylpentylamine (DMPA);
(h) Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL);
(i) Isopropyl Nitrite;
(j) Phenpromethamine;
(k) 1,1,1-Trichloroethane.
