I, GENERAL ANGUS JOHN CAMPBELL, AO, DSC, Chief of the Defence Force, make the following Determination under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

1  Name

This instrument is the Defence (Individual benefits) Determination 2021 (No. 7).

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after registration.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

4  Application

This Determination applies to the member who holds the employee identification number 8083493 during the following period when the member performs the duties of the position with the position number 614171.

a.    Starting on 12 October 2021.

b.   Ending on the date when the member ceases to perform the duties of the position.

5  Payment

1.Subject to subsection 2, the member is to be paid $4,490.58 for each fortnight served during the period under section 4 of this Determination.

2.If the member does not complete a fortnight, the member is eligible for a pro rata payment of the amount in subsection 1 for the days the member served in the fortnight, calculated as follows.

A    is the number of days in the fortnight served by the member.

6  Repeal

This Determination is repealed on 1 July 2022.
