REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE FORCES RETIREMENT BENEFITS ACT 1948-1955.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Act 1948-1955.

Amendments of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations.

Prescribed authorities of the Commonwealth

1. Regulation 10 of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is amended by inserting after the words—

“Dried Fruits Control Board;”

the words—

“Flax Commission;”.

Commutation of pension.

2. Regulation 15 of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (3.) and (4.).

Pay allowances to be included in daily pay.

3. Regulation 19 of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is repealed.

Retiring ages for pensions for certain classes of members.

4. Regulation 21 of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is amended by omitting from the third column of the table the figures “50” and inserting in their stead the figures “55”.

Daily pay for contribution purposes.

5. Regulation 23 of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is repealed.

Third Schedule.

6. The Third Schedule to the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Regulations is repealed.
