REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE FORCES RETIREMENT BENEFITS ACT 1948-1908.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Act 1948-1968.

Amendments of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations 

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the thirty-first day of January, 1969.

The Schedule.

2.—(1.) The Schedule to the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations is amended by omitting from Part I., item 21 and inserting in its stead the following items:—

“21. Cadet Midshipman (other than a Cadet Midshipman described in item 21a)

Royal Military College Cadet undergoing first or second year training

Air Cadet undergoing first or second year training

21a. Cadet Midshipman Junior Entry, undergoing first year training

(2.) The Schedule to the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations is amended by omitting from Part VI., items 94 and 95 and inserting in their stead the following items:—

“94.

Junior Musician who has not

attained the age of 17 years

Apprentice Musician who has

not attained the age of 17

years

Junior Recruit who has not

attained the age of 17 years

Apprentice Clerk who has not

attained the age of 17 years
