Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES acting for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination under section 12 of the Defence Amendment Act 1979.

Repeal

1. Regulations 16 and 20 of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations are repealed.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 14c of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition “rate of salary” “,10a and 16” and substituting “and 10a”; and

(b)by inserting in paragraph (e) of the definition “rate of salary” “Determination 0112, Senior Chaplain’s Allowance;” before “Determination 0113”.

Application

3. This Interim Determination shall take effect—

(a) in respect of the repeal of regulation 16 of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations and the amendment at Clause 2—on the day on which Determination 0112, Senior Chaplain’s Allowance is made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903; and

(b) in respect of the repeal of regulation 20 of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations—on the day on which Determination 0205, Hard Lying Allowance is made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903.
