Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Force Act 1903, the Naval Defence Act 1910 and the Air Force Act 1923.

Repeal

1. Regulation 3a of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations is repealed.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 4 of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from subregulation (1) the definitions of “category M member”, “category MS member”, “category O member”, “compulsory residency”, “dental officer”, “living in”, “living out”, “married quarters”, “medical officer”, “rate”, “sea-going ship” and “unit of electricity”;

(b) by omitting subregulations (2), (2a) and (2b);

(c) by omitting from subregulation (3) “, (2), (2a), (2b)”; and

(d) by omitting subregulations (4) and (6).

Repeal

3. The heading to Part VI of, and Schedule 8 to, the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations are repealed.
