DETERMINATION UNDER THE DEFENCE AMENDMENT ACT 19791
I, the
Minister of State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination
under section 12 of the Defence Amendment
Act 1979.

AMENDMENT OF THE DEFENCE
FORCE (SALARIES) REGULATIONS2
Senior
chaplain’s allowance
1. Regulation 16 of the
Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations is amended by omitting “$382” and
substituting “$589”.
Application
2. Subject to clause 3 the
Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations as amended by clause 1 apply in relation
to service by a member on or after 6 July 1979.
Transitional
3. Regulation 16 of the
Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations shall be deemed to have had effect in
relation to the service of a member during the period commencing on 8 June 1979
and ending on 5 July 1979 as if the amount prescribed in that regulation had been
$571.
