Benefits (Annual Rates of Pay) Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Act 1973.

Annual pay applicable to a member

1. Regulation 4 of the Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits (Annual Rates of Pay) Regulations is amended by inserting in subregulation (4) “Vice Chief of the Defence Force,” after “Defence Force,”.

Application

2. Despite regulation 1, the annual pay applicable to the holder of the office of Vice Chief of the Defence Force during the period commencing on the commencement of these Regulations and ending at the end of the day immediately preceding the day on which the first determination by the Remuneration Tribunal of the remuneration to be paid to the holder of that office comes into operation is the annual pay that would be applicable to that office if these Regulations had not been made.
