Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AVIATION acting for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination under section 12 of the Defence Amendment Act 1979.

Interpretation

1. Regulation 2 of the Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the following definitions:

(i) “appropriate Schedule”;

(ii) “approved category”;

(iii) “dental officer”;

(iv) “medical officer”;

(v) “prescribed period”;

(vi) “Service Financial Regulations”;

(vii) “trainee”; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulations (3), (4) and (5).

Application of certain provisions of Service Financial Regulations

2. Regulation 16 of the Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “Schedule 5”, first occurring, and substituting “Schedule 4 of Determination 0199, Pay of Reserve Force Members, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1 903,”;

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “Schedule 5 to these Regulations” and substituting “Schedule 4 to that Determination”; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “Schedule 5” and substituting “Schedule 4 of Determination 0199, Pay of Reserve Force Members, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903,”.

Repeal

3. Regulations 2a, 3, 4, 5, 5a, 6, 6a, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 17, and Schedules 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations are repealed.

Application

4. This Interim Determination shall take effect on the day on which Determination 0199, Pay of Reserve Force Members, is made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903.
