Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance)

(Leave Provisions) Regulations 2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) Act 1990.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 September 1992.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) (Leave Provisions) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 1 (Citation)

3.1   Omit “(Leave Provisions)”.

4.   New Regulation 5

4.1   After regulation 4, insert:

Compensable disability

“5.

For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of “compensable disability” in section 3 of the Act, the following Commonwealth laws are prescribed:

(a)

the Compensation (Commonwealth Government Employees) Act 1971, as in force from time to time before  its repeal;

(b)

the Repatriation Act 1920, as in force from time to time  before its repeal;

• (c)

  the Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Act 1956, as in force from time to time before its repeal; and

(d)

the Repatriation  (Special Overseas Service) Act 1962, as in  force from time to time before its repeal.”.
