No. 6 of 1928.
An Act to grant and apply out of the
Consolidated Revenue Fund the sum of Three million two hundred and twenty
thousand pounds for Naval Construction, a Reserve for Defence and the
Development of Civil Aviation.

Preamble.
BE
it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of
appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—
Short
title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Defence
Equipment Act 1928.
Appropriation
of £2,900,000.
2. There shall be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, which
is hereby appropriated accordingly, for the purposes of the Trust Account
established under the Defence Equipment
Act 1924 and known as the Naval Construction Trust Account, a sum not
exceeding Two million nine hundred thousand pounds.
Appropriation
of £120,000 for Defence Reserve.
3.—(1.) There shall be payable out of the
Consolidated Revenue Fund, which is hereby appropriated accordingly, for the
purposes of the Trust Account established under the Defence Equipment Act 1924 and known as the Defence Reserve Trust
Account, the sum of One hundred and twenty thousand pounds.
(2.) The amount appropriated by
this section shall be applied only for the survey of the Great Barrier Reef.
Civil
Aviation Trust Account.
4.—(1.) For the purposes of this Act there shall be
a Trust Account which shall be known as the Civil Aviation Trust Account.
(2.) The account established in
pursuance of this section shall be a Trust Account for the purposes of section
sixty-two a of the Audit Act 1901-1926.

of. £200,000 for civil aviation.
5. There shall be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, which
is hereby appropriated accordingly, for the purposes of the Civil Aviation
Trust Account, the sum of Two hundred thousand pounds.
