1 Name
This instrument is Defence Determination (Prohibited Substances – Authorised Persons) 2019/1.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on the day after registration.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under subsection 93A of the Defence Act 1903.
4 Repeals
This instrument repeals Defence Determination (Prohibited Substances – Authorised Persons) 2019, signed 7 March 2019.
5 Authorised persons
1.The following persons are authorised persons:
a) Vice Chief of the Defence Force;
b) Commander Joint Operations;
c) Deputy Commander Joint Operations;
d) Commander of a Joint Task Force holding a rank specified at item 5 of the table in subsection 1(1) of Schedule 1 to the Defence Act 1903.
2.The following persons are authorised persons for the purposes a member in the Royal Australian Navy:
a) Chief of Navy;
b) Deputy Chief of Navy;
c) Director General Navy People;
d) Commander Australian Fleet;
e) Head Navy People Training and Resources;
f) Commodore Training;
g) Commander Surface Force;
h) Commander Fleet Air Arm;
i) Commodore Warfare;
j) Commander Information Warfare Force;
k) Deputy Fleet Commander;
l) Chief of Staff Navy Headquarters.
3.The following persons are authorised persons for the purposes a member in the Australian Army:
a) Chief of Army;
b) Deputy Chief of Army;
c) Chief of Staff Army Headquarters;
d) Director General Army People Capability.
4.The following persons are authorised persons for the purposes a member in the Royal Australian Air Force:
a) Chief of Air Force
b) Deputy Chief of Air Force
c) Director General Personnel – Air Force
