1  Name

This instrument is the Defence Determination, Conditions of service (Living–in accommodation and review of housing contributions and allowances) Amendment Determination 2023 (No. 2).

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 2 March 2023.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

4  Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

The rent ceiling for a member without dependants or a member with dependants (unaccompanied) who shares rental accommodation in the member's posting location with 3 other people is the rate for their location in column A that corresponds with their rank in columns B to F of the following table.
