1  Name

This instrument is the Defence Determination, Conditions of service Amendment (Additional Recreation Leave) Determination 2019 (No. 32).

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 12 December 2019.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

4  Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Additional recreation leave amendments

Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service

1	Subsection 5.4.15.2 (Flight duties)
Omit the subsection, substitute:
2.	If a member is eligible for a daily rate of flying disability allowance under table item 1 in section B.7.8 of DFRT Determination No. 11 of 2013, ADF Allowances, the member accrues a credit of 0.1 of a day of additional recreation leave for each day.
2	Subsection 5.4.15.3 (Flight duties)
Insert after “additional”, “recreation”.
3	Subsection 5.4.16.3 (Special service)
Omit “an annual rate of Special Forces disability allowance or clearance diver allowance, the member’s fortnightly additional leave”, substitute “either a rate of Special Forces disability allowance specified in subsection 4 or the annual rate of clearance diver allowance, the member’s fortnightly additional recreation leave”.
4	Subsection 5.4.16.3 (Special service)
After the subsection, insert:
4.	For the purpose of subsection 3, an annual rate of Special Forces disability allowance provided in one of the following items in the table in section B.12.7 of DFRT Determination No. 11 of 2013, ADF Allowances.

b.	Item 14.
