1.

This Determination is Defence Determination 2016/33, Additional risk insurance and deployment allowance – amendment.

2.

This Determination may also be cited as Defence Determination 2016/33.

2 Commencement

This Determination commences on 3 November 2016.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

4 Amendment

Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service, as amended,1 is amended as set out in sections 5 and 6 of this Determination.

7 Transitional – rate of allowance

1.

This section applies to a member deployed on Operation OKRA, and who performed duty in the specified area as it applies from the commencement of this Determination, between 9 September 2015 and the commencement of this Determination.

2.

The member is eligible for an amount of deployment allowance calculated as the difference between the following amounts.

a.

The amount of deployment allowance the member received during the period 9 September 2015 and the commencement of this Determination.

b.

The amount of deployment allowance the member would have been eligible for had the relevant of the following deployment allowance rates applied during the period of 9 September 2015 and the commencement of this Determination.
