STATUTORY RULES
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1970.*

Postmaster-General for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence.
Amendments of the Defence Committee Regulations
(
a ) by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—“(1.) There shall be a committee, to be known as the Defence Committee, which shall consist of—
(
a ) the Secretary to the Department of Defence;(
b ) the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee;(
c ) the Chief of Naval Staff;(
d ) the Chief of the General Staff;(
e ) the Chief of the Air Staff;(
f ) the Secretary to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet;(
g ) the Secretary to the Department of the Treasury; and(
h ) the Secretary to the Department of Foreign Affairs.”; and(
b ) by omitting from sub-regulation (4.) the words “the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee” and inserting in their stead the words “the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee”.
(
a ) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee” and inserting in their stead the words “the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee,”; and(
b ) by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the words “the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee” and inserting in their stead the words “the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee”.
