I, CHRISTOPHER PYNE, Minister for Ageing, make this Determination under subsection 8 (7) and (8) of the Australian Hearing Services Act 1991.

1. Name of Determination

This Determination is the Declared Hearing Services Amendment Determination 2007 (No 1).

1. Commencement

This Determination commences on 1 July 2007.

1. Amendment of Declared Hearing Services Determination 1997

Schedule 1 amends the Declared Hearing Services Determination 1997.

Schedule 1        Amendments

(section 12)

[1]           Paragraph 12(d)(iv)

substitute

(iv)an eligible person; or

(v)a person who:

A.was a participant in the CDEP program at any time between 1 December 2005 and 30 June 2007; and

B.is no longer a participant in the CDEP Program.

[2]           New section 12A

After section 12 insert:

12A             Persons no longer designated persons         

A person referred to in paragraph 12(d)(v) above will cease to be a designated person from 1 July 2012.
