This Declaration is the Declaration of Quality Assurance Activity under section 124X of the Health Insurance Act 1973 – QAA 6/2016.
Commencement
This Declaration commences the day after registration.
Cessation
This Declaration will cease to be in force as if repealed at the end of 5 years after the Declaration is signed.
Authority
This Declaration is made under the section 124X of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
Declaration of quality assurance activity
A quality assurance activity described in the Schedule to this Instrument is, to the extent the activity relates to health services provided in Australia, declared to be a quality assurance activity to which Part VC of the Health Insurance Act 1973 applies.

1 Title:
Australian and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgical Association (ANZGOSA) Audit
2 Description:
The ANZGOSA audit evaluates, improves and maintains the quality of care for patients undergoing surgery of the stomach, oesophagus and upper gastrointestinal tract. Participants use on-line systems to input data including patient information, surgical details and post-operative course and can self-assess their performance and compare against peers in Australia and New Zealand.
The ANZGOSA Audit is conducted by the Australian and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgeons Association and administered by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for ANZGOSA.
