Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) Quality and Accreditation Program

Description:

The activity provides a comprehensive framework for the implementation of standards of practice for medical imaging services in Australia, supported by the RANZCR Standards of Practice for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.  The standards are implemented through cyclical quality assurance processes where sites are required to submit a range of data to the RANZCR for peer review, with the outcome fed back to the site.  The data submitted includes technical data, clinical images and equipment maintenance information.  The participants obtain professional expert feedback and advice to support their continuous quality improvement processes in medical imaging.

The RANZCR Quality and Accreditation Program covers mammography and MRI services.
