This Declaration is the Declaration of Quality Assurance Activity under section 124X of the Health Insurance Act 1973 – QAA 12/2016.

  1. Commencement

This Declaration commences the day after registration.

  1. Cessation

This Declaration will cease to be in force as if repealed at the end of 5 years after the Declaration is signed.

  1. Authority

This Declaration is made under section 124X of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

  1. Declaration of quality assurance activity

A quality assurance activity described in the Schedule to this Instrument is declared to be a quality assurance activity to which Part VC of the Health Insurance Act 1973 applies.

1           Title

MyCPD of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)

Description:

The MyCPD is an online accredited continuing professional development program designed as a quality assurance activity to support self-reflection and insight into the way RACP members learn.  The self-reflection allows participants to plan and record their professional development needs gaining an insight into the educational value of an activity, and to critically think about current practices to identify future learning needs. The self-reflection of RACP members aims to improve and plan future learning, and ultimately encourage change in clinical practice and improving patient care. 

MyCPD participants are required to accrue a minimum of 100 CPD credits each calendar year. Credits are accrued in the categories of: educational development, teaching and research, group learning activities, self-assessment programs, structured learning projects, practice review & appraisal and other learning activities.

The MyCPD is operated by the RACP.
