HEREAS clonbts have arisen as to the vdidity in the Province Preamble.

of South Australia of thc marriage of a man with the sister of his deceased wife, and it is, expedient to remove such doubts: Be it therefore Enacted, by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council ancl House of Assembly of t,he sai:l Yrovince, in this present

Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. All marriages which have been heretofore, or which shall be 3Iarriagog with

deceased wifu'a sluter

hereafter duly solemnized, within the said Province, between ally .,li,

person and his deceased wifc's sister, shall be deemed, and are hereby

rleclared valid, and of full farce ancl effect, any law or custom to the

coutrary notwithstanding
