[ASSENTED TO 17TH NOVEMBER, 1919.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent. Majes.ty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as· follows : - 1. This Act may be cited as "The Daraji Railway Short title. Bridge Act of 1919." 2. (1.) It shall be lawful for the Queensland RailwayAuthori~ y to Commissioner, and he is hereby authorised and em- erect brldge. powered, in connection with the construction of the North Ooast Railway between Innisfail and Mooliba, to erect and thereafter maintain, manage, and use a bridge over the North Johnstone River at or near Daraji at a height of thirty feet or thereabouts above high-water mark in the said river in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Governor in Council. (2.) No action, suit, indictment, information, claim, No action to or other proceeding shall be commenced, presented, ~e brought proseCl,lted, maintained, or allowed against the said Oom- o~ ~tructing missioner or the Government, or any person empowered navigation. in that behalf, for or in respect of the erecting, main- taining, managing, or use of the said bridge without making provision for the opening of a portion thereof to allow of the passage of seagoing vessels, or for or in respect of the obstruction of the navigation of the North Johnstone River by the said bridge, or for or in respect of any damages, loss, or expenses occasioned or alleged to be occasioned by reason of such erecting, maintaining, managing, use, closure, or obstructjon or in anywise whatever arising therefrom.
